The Conservation and Research Center of Cultural Heritage of the Institute of Archaeology of CASS, “CCHC” for short, is an academic research organization supervised by the Institute of Archaeology of CASS. Its main purpose is: to make use of the advantages of the Institute of Archaeology in the area of cultural heritage preservation to establish an interactive and interdisciplinary platform, which includes archaeological excavation, heritage preservation and management, and comprehensive research and so on. Its jobs include: the study of the science of cultural heritage preservation; the formulation of cultural heritage preservation plans and executive proposals; directing and cooperating the cultural heritage preservation during archaeological excavations; teaching and spreading the latest methods and rules of cultural heritage preservation; communicating with foreign organizations of cultural heritage preservation; establishing a database about cultural heritage preservation as well as publishing some relevant books, etc.
